Transit Technicians / Maintenance Mechanics

San Francisco International Airport

Are you looking for a new opportunity with an established company? CTC is conducting interviews for qualified Transit Technicians and Maintenance Mechanics to work on the AirTrain system at the San Francisco Airport. The company we’re recruiting for is willing to train the right candidates.

Candidates must pass a security test, aptitude test, physical test, and drug test and must possess a valid driver’s license.

The Transit Technician will be responsible for supporting the operations and maintenance of the automated People Mover system (AirTrain) at the San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the following established procedures, as appropriate:

  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and adjustments to all systems, subsystems, and components of an electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic nature.
  • Trouble-shoot complex systems and components to identify problems or failures.
  • Diagnose and trouble-shoot causes of equipment failures.
  • Use various electronic test equipment to diagnose/isolate faults.
  • Install/repair complex wiring assemblies including modifications
  • Observe all established safety procedures.
  • Perform administrative and housekeeping duties.
  • Assist in the development of vehicle maintenance schedules and priorities.

Possible exposure to high-voltage areas, elevated platforms, confined spaces, and inclement weather at the job site. May be required to work the hours of any of three shifts. Climbing, squatting, lifting, and bending may be required.

Hours per Week: 40 (Full – time only, part-time not available)
Rate per Hour: $32.11 per hour to start plus shift differential if applicable.
